Individuals with permanent Australian visa and is married can apply for Partner Visa for their spouse. Interdependent or same sex partners are also eligible for Partner Visa. Partner is considered as sponsor of his or her spouse and the sponsorship must be at-least two years. After this time period if the relationship is still continuing, you can apply for permanent residence. Application should include legal document to support marriage, police clearance certificate and medical examination certificate. You can also apply for Partner Visa from outside Australia but you need to proof that you have Australian Citizenship or you are a Permanent Residence of Australia.
